Mathius, Lord of Heaven, the King’s Hand
Surveys his land of plenty with a band
Of prideful men, knights of the Old Order
Whose legendary feats on the border
Of Earth and Sky have given rise to fame,
And stamped fear into enemies made lame.
On his airborne steed of metal and flame,
Sharp eyes spy the Earth to cleanse putrid shame.
What of these Carmagano? Asks his man,
Castus, whose lineage boasts honor and land
Beyond measure. They incite the mad crowd.
The last decade had created a proud,
Petulant band of renegade brigands
Whose acts of sedition throughout the lands
Has brought too many an inconvenience.
Kings of Earth and Sky send forth sword and lance,
Their watchful eyes probing every niche,
Hoping to scour out the mentally sick.
We will stamp them out as we have all things,
For sworn we keep the justice of the kings.
So said true Mathius with honored tongue,
Whose fiery steed acknowledged with flames sung
From strong chin and the beat of phoenix wings.
Castus bowed before the Hand of the King.
He pointed forward with purpose, fervor
To serve the Hand of The King forever
Knowing honors spilled forth from that full cup,
Whose table Castus hoped he’d always sup.
